Granular policy control
The MIMEsweeper policy management engine lets you configure rules that reflect your unique business and your threat landscape. Apply policy by department, location, user group, file type, file size, file direction, file contents, time of day, even by individual user. You set the policy, MIMEsweeper automatically invokes the prescribed response to any breach, blocking suspicious traffic, alerting the relevant managers and generating event reports.
Triggers your chosen defenses automatically
When the MIMEsweeper appliance detects malware, it's automatically blocked. When it detects a confidential data leak (like credit card numbers or social security numbers), it stops the transmission and alerts your chosen manager. If a user tries to access a blocked URL, they're prevented from doing so, told why and your appropriate admin or manager is alerted.

As standard, MIMEsweeper blocks or allows encryption by route; but add the optional HTTPS/SSL scanning module and you are able to set fine-grained scanning policies over all encrypted traffic too, inbound or outbound.
